The Veil

This poem is an invocation. It speaks of holding the candle of consciousness, heeding the call of the unknown, and the courageous journey required to reclaim an eternal wholeness that was never truly lost, only veiled.

A simple time, not for want,
hold the candle, do not fear,
darkness beckons, heed the call,
the form of one awaiting here.
Illuminated, wholly, not nascent;
eternal wholeness now reclaimed;
the path once veiled, now discerned,
forward, to the depths perceived.
What was once known is but a part,
for all is unknown, and there we start,
fountain of eternal truth surveyed;
onward, the descent awaits.
